Basic Vital Signs: Heart Rate and Blood Pressure
Awareness of your vital signs, like heart rate and blood pressure, is crucial for managing POTS and Dysautonomia. Do you know what normal heart rates should be though?
Do you know what your blood pressure range should be based on your age? How about how much SPO2% you hold. A typical resting heart rate ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute for adolescents (13-18) as well as 18+ adults. Now blood pressure should be realistically no less than 90 systolic and less than 60 diastolic. Optimal blood pressure range is less than 120 systolic and less than 80 diastolic. So finding that sweet spot between 90-120 systolic (Top #) and between 60- 90 diastolic (Bottom #). Blood pressure is the measured power of how blood travels through blood vessels, while heart rate is beats per minute.
Negative blood pressure can leave you feeling dizzy, tired, and fatigued, whereas active rates rise with physical activity. Blood pressure should ideally be around 120/80 mmHg, but these numbers can fluctuate.

Impact of Inflammation on the Heart and Brain: How Can HOPE BRAIN Help ME?
There are many different signs and symptoms that can signal to a brain injury. Many of which can be easily mistaken for something else. This is why it is important to monitor your children if they are involved in a high contact sport.
Brain Health
Finding the source of high inflammation and which regions of the brain are directly affected by inflammation is an important finding in our QEEG assessments. We typically we two seperate QEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram) tests. One records all frequencies of the brain and generates a report of potential metabolic symptoms associated as well as direct identification of inflammation location. The other measures the same frequencies but show us in real time imaging where the dysregulations are taking place in the brain and gives us list of the symptoms they are associated with. These reports provide us with the criteria to be able to choose a personalized protocol for our neurofeedback training. We will touch on that more later in this post.
Heart Balance
We offer several different testing and diagnostics options. How we decide which ones to use is all based on the specificity of the patients needs. We use Tilt Table test with some of our patients with less severe symptoms to ensure comfort. We also use this tilt table in our treatment for many POTS patients. Vital scans ANS (Autonomic Nervous System) test generates a report on physical dysregulation, accumulative stress measurement, function assessment of balance between parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system and so much more. This well detailed report allows us to see first hand all BP (blood pressure), heart rate, SPO2% measurements through different trials. More test include QAthlete, arterial and training assessments, metabolic report, and thorough neuro exam evaluation.
Inflammation
We provide you with a IgG food sensitivity test for 98 major foods, heavy metals report, mold toxicity of the 14 major mold/mycotoxins found. Other tests include Dutch hormone test and in other cases we may extend to different labs if we see additional testing may be required to ensure clarity and sourcing root issues.
HOPE Treatments: Promoting Healthy Circulation
Recumbent or Upright Bike with Oxygen Therapy
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy
Advanced Therapies: Photobiomodulation
Photobiomodulation, or low-level laser therapy, is another groundbreaking option we offer. This therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to reduce inflammation and pain, promoting healing and improved function of the nervous system. Repairing old mitochondria and and creating new. Assisting in increasing the integrity and life of mitochondria for more productive cellular energy functioning.
